SussexRH13 0AAHow can artists lead social change for climate change? Bring some food to share and images to discuss.
Like the often-quoted frog in a warming pan of water, society is slow to react to the serious threat of climate change. Awareness of the issue is widespread but are we really doing enough? Where are the standard-bearers who will usher the radical cultural change ahead?
Artist collective Delta Arts and Chesworth Arts Farm are inviting artists, curators and ecologists to present artistic responses to climate change in a rotating platform around a shared meal. You may wish to talk about your own work or bring other relevant examples. The event will be documented by Delta Arts.
To attend: This is a selection-only participatory event where everyone is asked to contribute to the discussion and to bring a dish for the group picnic. If you would like to attend please contact Oliver Sumner on 07722 511286 or email

By rail:
Chesworth Arts Farm is a short walk from Horsham rail station. A guide will be there to meet you at the Station Road exit (turn right on the footbridge from all platforms). The guide will set off from the station at 11.30am.
Chesworth Arts Farm is an artist-led creative space set in 90 acres of meadows on the edge of Horsham in Sussex. The building itself is an historic barn owned by Horsham District Council, which was rescued from dereliction and sensitively converted into studio and events space in 2007-2008.
Delta Arts is a visual arts collaboration formed by Birgitte Lund, Emma Smith and Oliver Sumner. Our work is located at the intersection of practice, research and pedagogy. Current projects focus on youth participation, international exchange and pedagogy.
