Celebrating Creation

Location:  Leominster Community Centre, Herefordshire

12 June 7.30, 13 June 2.30 and 7.30

“Two Fountains of the Apocalypse” is a new musical theatre piece about the two most pressing issues of our times - how to survive the credit crunch and the end of cheap energy. With the knotty challenge of how to sustain our world so it can continue to sustain us thrown in for good measure!

The production will be worked up by an amateur cast by theatre director Richard Brookman with music composed and directed by Andrew Morris. Traditions drawn from mystery plays, panto and commedia dell’arte will be used to wrestle with these heavyweight issues in a light hearted way. We’ll present the challenges and work out a way forward together - with audience participation and big singing numbers along the way.

Two Fountains is supported by Awards for All, Leominster Community Centre, Leominster Playhouse, Leominster in Bloom, Transition Leominster and Leominster Town Council. The project is co-ordinated by Celebrating Creation, a small community arts organisation who have staged a number of striking community events in Leominster. Celebrating Creation’s core theme is finding creative responses to the big issues of our times through the arts, building pride in our local area.
