respond! started as a simple idea. What if we find out how many arts events in the UK in a single month are responding to the ever-increasing threats to the environment? That's why in June this year are taking a snapshot of the activity that is taking place all around the UK to build on the agenda of World Environment Day, taking place on 5 June.

The result has been incredible. Look at the listings and see how many organisations have joined us in showing that UK arts is creating a vital and stimulating discourse around the subject.

The RSA Arts & Ecology website is committed to drawing attention to this work and extending the debate further among an active and engaged audience.

The project is being delivered in association with Bash Creations - an events production company whose aim is to reduce the ecological footprint of the British entertainment industry by introducing innovative and creative ways to implement sustainable practice.
