Age of Stupid: tickets now on sale
Pete Postlethwaite stars in the UK's answer to An Inconvenient Truth
Tickets went on sale today for nation-wide premiere of the crowd-funded film on climate change Age of Stupid, starring Pete Postlethwaite. It's the latest independent film by Franny Armstrong, director of the McLibel movie.
The film opens on March 15 with special screenings at 64 cinemas from Eden Project to Inverness, with about 16,000 tickets going on sale today. For the full list, and details of how to book, see here.
The Age of Stupid website says: "The People’s Premiere will also be the world’s first truly, 100% eco-friendly film premiere, with a mind-boggling array of genuinely green measures – not greenwash – to make sure we emit sod-all in the process: "
In Age of Stupid, which is co-written by Mark Lynas, author of Six Degrees, Pete Postlethwaite plays a man living alone in the devastated future of 2055, wondering why no one did anything to avoid the catastrophe he's engulfed in. Part documentary, part drama, it oepns nationwide on March 20.
