RSA Arts & Ecology Curatator at Tate Britain Zones of Conflict

Emma Ridgway, curator for the RSA Arts & Ecology Centre will be amongst those taking part in the discussion Zones of Conflict: Transnational Communities on Saturday Feburary 14 at Tate Britain. If, as Altermodern curator Nicolas Bourriaud asserts, art has moved on from post-modernism to tackle the intricacies of a globalised world, how are artists addressing the subject of uprooted populations, the transnational comunities?

Also taking part in the debate are: John Akomfrah, Ayreen Asastas and Rene Gabri, Claire Bishop, Tania Bruguera, Nina Montmann, Anand Patwardhan and Pooja Sood. The discussion will be moderated by by TJ Demos, who is currently researching a new book Migrations: Contemporary Art and Globalization.
