Jaume Plensa | Dream

April 2009 saw the unveiling of Jaume Plensa's 400 tonne artwork Dream, errected on the site of the Sutton Manor Colliery in Merseyside. The work was commissioned by a group of former miners. This slideshow records the installation of the artwork, visible from the M62 motorway.

Poll

As an artist, are you aware of the impact your own practice has on the environment?

Yes, and I consider that when chosing processes and materials.

Yes, but it's better to think of the art first, and the materials and processes second.

No, it's not a consideration when I make my art.
